I, Mudugamuwa Hewage Gunaratne Weerakoon, Minister of Food Co-operative, Housing, Social Services, Probation and Child Care and Women's Affairs of the Southern Provincial Council, do hereby make the following order by virtue of powers vested in me, under Section 44 of the Rent Act, No. 7 of 1972, in terms of the Provisions of the Provincial Council Act, No. 12 of 1989.

I, Mudugamuwa Hewage Gunaratne Weerakoon, Minister of Food, Co-operative, Housing, Social Services, Probation and Child Care and Women's Affairs, Southern Provincial Council, do hereby, amend the order published in the Government Gazette dated 28th September, 1973 and declare the following personnel as the authorized Officer for the Administrative Districts, within the periphery of the Southern Provincial Council to perform the duties specified in the Rent Act, No. 7 of 1972. She, through the authority delegated so, shall perform the duties devolving upon her under the Act, in all Local Authorities, Sanitary Villages and Bazaars already declared as areas falling under the Provisions of the Rent Act, as well as in those which will be declared to be so from time to time in the future.

I, Mudugamuwa Hewage Gunaratne Weerakoon, Minister of Food Co-operative, Housing, Social Services, Probation and Child Care and Women's Affairs of the Southern Provincial Council, under the authority vested in me in terms of Section 2(1)(b) of the Rent Act, No. 7 of 1972 and under the Provisions of the Local Government Act, No. 12 of 1989 do hereby declare that-

(a) In addition to the areas hither to have been declared as Local Government areas relevant to the Southern Provincial Council each area specified in the Schedule below too, shall hereby be reckoned as areas relevant for the implementation of the above Act.

(b) It is also notified that this order shall be enforced with effect from the date of its publication in the Government Gazette.
